In May 2022, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 192 029 919.80 kWh, which represents 13% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 26 417 431.

In May the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 13.7569351 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 1.857 Tetri.
From June 13, 2022, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “GRPC Trade” LLC to take part in the wholesale trade as Exporter, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.

From May 13, 2022, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of “Svaneti Hydro” JSC as a Generation Licensee and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
rom May 31, 2022, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “Power Trading Company” LLC to take part in the wholesale trade as Exporter, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From May 19, 2022, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “Hydroenergy” LLC to take part in the wholesale trade as a Small Power Plant in the part of Akhatani HPP, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From May 18, 2022, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of “Hydroenergy” LLC, in the part of Akhatani HPP, as a Power Plant - During the Test Run and/or a Comprehensive Testing and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.
