In October 2022, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 252 867 080.7 kWh, which represents 23% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 43 152 727.

In October the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 17.0653796 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 8.613 Tetri.
From November 2, 2022, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the LLC “Aisi” to take part in the wholesale trade as a Small Power Plant in the part of Akhalkalaki 1 HPP, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From November 10, 2022, the Electricity Market Operator has cancelled the registration of LLC “Aisi”, in the part of Akhalkalaki 2 HPP, as a Power Plant - During the Test Run and/or a Comprehensive Testing and in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”, it is no more considered as a wholesale trade participant.

From October 7, 2022, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “Dila” LLC to take part in the wholesale trade as a Wholesale Supplier of Electricity, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
Since September 28, 2022, Alexander Papiashvili has been appointed as the Deputy General Director of the Electricity Market Operator (ESCO).
