On March 26, 2024, revisions were made to Decree No. 77 (dated August 30, 2006), issued by the Minister of Energy of Georgia, titled "Approval of the Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules." These revisions specifically pertain to the regulations and protocols of the registration process for direct electricity contracts.
From April 3, 2024, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “RMG Auramine” LLC to take part in the wholesale trade as Direct Customer, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
From April 4, 2024, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “Kasleti 2” LLC to take part in the wholesale trade as an exporter, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.
The Director-General of the Electricity System Commercial Operator, Kakhaber Keburia, embarked on a business trip to China, visiting the cities of Shanghai and Shenzhen. The visit was arranged by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., one of the world's foremost technical companies, renowned for its involvement in telecommunication network establishment, operational and consultancy services, as well as the production of technical equipment and communication mechanisms.
From March 28, 2024, the Electricity Market Operator has registered the “KSM Export Import” LLC to take part in the wholesale trade as an exporter, in accordance with the “Electricity (Capacity) Market Rules”.

During a business visit to Vienna, Austria, Kakhaber Keburia, the General Director of the Electricity System Commercial Operator (ESCO), met with representatives of EXAA Energy Exchange Austria, the operator of Austria's energy market.
In February 2024, the quantity of balancing electricity, purchased (sold) through ESCO was 342 017 516.9 kWh, which represents 29% of total delivery to the grid in mentioned month. The cost of balancing electricity has made up GEL 53 822 979.5.

In February, the Weighted Average Price of balancing electricity per kWh made up 15.7369073 Tetri, while the price of balancing electricity of the deregulated hydro power plants was 18.156 Tetri.
